Discuss/Report Scores for Wed, 2/9/05 - Tues, 2/15

Postby LaxC21 on Sat Feb 12, 2005 12:38 pm

These are my thoughts on the A&M vs. Tech game. First off congratulations to Tech for a HUGE win...they probably thought they would win all along, but it is a surprise to most. I think this is the first Tech victory over A&M since at least 1997...it really is probably longer than that to be honest. From what I understand on the game, it seems Tech came with its emotional and physical game, which was able to rattle the young Aggie team. I heard there were plenty of open shots, but plenty of misses on the cage as well as an overwhelming amount of dropped balls.

To say the very least, this does not make things easy on this young Aggie team for the remainder of the season. They have a tough schedule this year starting with CSU tonight. Its a little to early to start packing things in, so lets just hope (for the sake of the proud Aggie alumni and their opponents) they bring something to the table tonight against CSU.

All I can the outcome was very disappointing. Congratulations again to Tech.

Anyone going to have updates of the games from Arlington? CSU vs. TT should be half over. Is it even going to be close?

I will be at home most of the day, so anyone who has text messaging capability on his cell phone can text message me at 254-214-0344 (I can not take phone calls because I don't have that, but key in letters or something to leave me text msgs) or email me at bteam_bab@tmail.com. That way, I can keep the LSA website up and running with final scores put up there.

Thanks.

Apparently not. This does not bode well for A&M's chances tonight. Anything can happen, however. That's why the games are played.

I want to say it was 21-7, but can't confirm that yet. CSU plays TAMU tonight.

Texas State rolled over Houston 19-4. Most of their goals were on unsetlled situations and the Bobcats had possesion of the ball for the majority of the game.

What kind of surface are they playing on? If it's grass it could be a mud bowl based on an entry from Flip's journal today:

Saturday, February 12, 2005 -3:30 p.m.

CSU 21 - TEXAS TECH – 7

It wasn't as pretty as last night's effort, but we scored early and often building a 13-3 advantage by the half. The weather was a little more chilling this morning, and it sprinkled a tiny bit during the game. It's pouring now. We have another game in three hours against Texas A&M. They did NOT play a game this morning.
