In case any of you are still gear-heads, I've begun to get higher quality images of the gear that is expected to be available around November, will continue to post new stuff as it comes in.

Right now I have a modge podge of message board postings along with the real photos from Brine.

Enjoy the buzz on LaxShopper.com through the "2006 Gear Page" link at the top center of the homepage.

Check it out now. Warrior has their new stuff up as well as pictures from their catalogue. This company is getting out of control...

warrior is rediculous...first of all...there new stuff...is really just old stuff...with blue instead of orange. and what exactly do the catalog pictures have to do with anything...i mean...i would think they should deal with lacrosse typically...but these dont have anything to do with anything.

the new brine stuff looks amazing...i cant wait to see those new MP gloves.

does anyone know anything about the new cascade helmet...i got an email from a rep telling me that they were releasing a new one...but other then that i havent been about to find anything out about it.

Pretty cool to see shock doctor getting in on all this stuff. Nice to have something new to look at and consider.

Had a chance to try on some of their stuff in Vail...it seems like very nice equipment.

The STX Kannon and V-Groove heads look like likely candidates for illegal stick calls, given how narrow the throats are. Add some thick stringing and see if the ball comes out!

I had a problem with my STX Profile being too pinched. That 3 minute nonreleasable is a terrible thing to be faced with especially when you caused it (even though my head was checked by the ref prior to the game and then again after the first quarter and it was fine but magically at half time... I digress). If you measure out a piece of wood or plastic to just slightly over the minimum width, I think it is something like 6 1/2 inches (do check on that), put the piece into the widest part of the scoop (I also put a piece of extra ball stopper at the ends of my stretcher to keep the wood peice from sliding out) and then take a blow dryer on the hot setting and blow dry the sides of the scoop until it is too hot to touch and then let it cool (with the stretcher bar still inside) when it cools, you won't have that problem anymore. I did this with a few of the sticks used by players on my team last season. We never had the problem again. Watch out for those Warrior EVO PRO / REVO Pro heads, they can be a problem.

The problem with baking heads in an oven or blow drying them is that it dries them out. This makes them more brittle and prone to breaking. If possible, hang it a few inches above a pot of boiling water and wait 10 or 15 minutes or until it's hot enough to mold to the shape you've tied it in. This will keep the moisture already in the plastic from drying up. Also check out boiling your stick on e-lacrosse:
