What would be the ruling on a player who played a year after graduating high school for a "prep" school?
Does that count as a year of playing? I know in the NCAA it does not. I have a player that currently falls into that category, and I want to make sure we won't be in violation in future years.

The MDIA eligibility rules are based on the NCAA rules with some modifications, so I would think that 5th year high school does not count against eligibility.

If he played lacrosse for a school post high school graduation like you stated, he used a year of eligibility, if you want to be sure contact Doug Carl.

The post graduate year does not count against NCAA eligibility. Every year we have around 40-50 repeat seniors (we do not call them PG's anymore). Usually students do this in order to have another year of high school competition and AP courses to boost their chances of getting into a better college.
