You would have thought we learned from our UVSC/Utah debacle in 2003, but I guess not. This is going to be a tough stretch for my boys, but I know there are plenty of young legs on the roster.

CSU will be fine and sweep all four games with an average goal differential of 8 goals.

Utah will win by more than a couple. They have a very strong attack and goalie. Their defense and middies are questionable.

I don't know if Utah will exactly be rolling through Tempe. It will be a good test for both teams, but when I think about these two teams, I think about them as competing at the same level. ASU has been playing games for a little while and will have some good competition before Utah ever gets there while the Utes will be playing in their first game. Should be one of the more interesting inter-conference games that weekend.

CSU 23, Auburn 2

I am guessing final as text message said nothing more like past ones told me where in the quarter the game was.

I agree with all the CSU predictions.

JRA- Any basis for ASU/Utah prediction JRA? Or just a gut feeling?

As a UofU alumni I know I have some bias, and I understand what a great program ASU is building, so I definetely wouldn't predict the Utes in a blowout. But for the first time in a long time, the Utes have midfield and defensive depth to go along with their stellar attack. I think it will be EXTREMELY close. Utes by one. Maybe in overtime. Both teams belong in the top 25.

To echo Alex's comment, I view ASU and Utah's programs along parallel paths. Both are teams benefiting from the growth of High School Lacrosse withing their respective states, both with a great coaching staff and player leadership. I can't wait for the game, particularly for the nice weather in Tempe, a farcry from the frigid cold in Salt Lake City.

Having played Utah this fall in Vegas (losing by one goal in a game that we lead until the last couple mins) and watching ASU in the same tourney, ASU should beat Utah by several goals. I also think that they should win by about 5 goals here...
