Honestly,
I don't know of specific teams. I believe that it is mostly A-division teams and us. I was just asked by the player administration to put the invitation out there again.
I will find out who is playing and post ASAP.
UTA plays its first scrimmage of the fall this Sunday against Southlake Cobras Men's club at the University of Texas at Arlington. Face-off is scheduled for 1:00 pm.

Spots are still available at this time. You can contact me or you can email
Brian Smith at vetteman2128@yahoo.com
He is taking care of registering teams for the tournament.
Most of the guys on Southlake are classy players so there wasn't a whole lot of cheap shots, but you get some cheap shots in every game that you play. I may see it as a cheap shot, but someone else may see it as clean and legitimate play.
Tournament Oct. 22-23. contact us quickly.
Thanks[/i]

just wondering...
Just curious as to how UTA did against the Cobras? By the way, Baylor is set to scrimmage the Cobras on Sunday the 16th at 3:30pm at our lax fields.

Devildog,
Baylor should have no problem with the cobras. Once you get a lead they like to self destruct. Just have your team control the ball on offense. Their defense is older and has trouble keeping up after awhile. As for their attack. Only the guy with the socks pulled up high is a threat and even he is easily contained by a decent d-man. They have an ok face-off guy but pushing through his clamp is easy since his stick is really flexible. As for middies.. no one stands out. Goalies have been a huge problem for this team from the get go. Decent shots go in ... poor ones might.. horrible ones will get saved.

Thanks...
Tamu33,
Thanks for the advice. It will be a fun game, one of our attackmen from last year is playing for them this year. It looks to be a fun scrimmage...

We didn't keep score at the scrimmage but it was not that. Southlake scored several more goals than us. We accomplished our goal of getting substantial playing time for all the rookies. Our objective will be the same in our scrimmage with UNT today.
