Baylor Lacrosse, Great Exposure!

Baylor Lacrosse, Great Exposure!

Postby CP18 on Sun Oct 02, 2005 12:24 pm

If you watched the Baylor v A&M game on FSN Southwest you may have noticed Baylor's new university commercial. In the spot they have a bunch of different students from all walks of life in their 'element' saying a quick word about Baylor. Well.....one of the highlighted students was a Women's LACROSSE player! She was decked out in uniform with her stick on her shoulder.

Great Exposure for the SPORT! I am sure people now think Women's Lacrosse is a Varsity sport at Baylor.

That would be nice if they have a varsity lacrosse team at Baylor, but I know that is a very long way to go. Yes, that is really nice of Baylor to include that. I do hope any of the Big XII schools would take Baylor's lead unless some of them already did.

I noticed it too. I was really suprised and I kept thinking, who did she know and how did she pull that off?

Maybe some of the Baylor players can chime in on who that was.

that's lame. she was wearing the uniform and everything, right? i won't make a comment on what that says about the 'talent' on the team, though...

Yeah, I dated that girl a few times. I called her up and she told me to tell all you guys hi. She really said to say "Yo, give my boys a big 'what up' when you type to them next."

To let everybody know she is actually a player on the women's team. I am not going to give out names and stuff because that is not my place. Don't ask me what she did to get on it, but somehow they pulled it off. Hey at least Baylor seems to recognize some form of lacrosse now, the school is becoming better about it!

With jokes set aside, with discussions as to who she is, and with discussions as to how the Lady Bears lacrosse club team got one of its own in Baylor's college recruiting video, we need to go back to what CP18 said at the beginning of the thread he started- it is a great exposure to show that a Big XII school like Baylor is showing that there is a lacrosse program at that school, be it women's or men's. I would like to reiterate that I would love to see other Big XII schools push or encourage the PR departments to include lacrosse players in their college recruiting videos.
