Jason Stockton was elected President of the PNCLL at the league's Annual General Meeting in Tacoma, Washington Saturday. Formerly the Head Coach at Pacific Lutheran, Stockton was named to succeed former Oregon Head Coach Josh Barbour as the league's fourth President. The membership voted to expand the Executive Board to eight members, adding the immediate Past-President (Barbour) and the Chief Assigning Official (Keith MacFie) as new voting members. Dave Schmitz was re-elected PNCLL Treasurer, and I was re-elected to another two-year term as At-large Member. Kyle Berrgren, Head Coach at Puget Sound, was also elected to join the Executive Board to serve out the remaining year of Stockton's term as At-Large member, vacated by Jason's elevation to the Presidency.

Boise State was admitted to the PNCLL and will join the A Division for 2006, raising to seven the number of upper conference teams. Defending champ Oregon was voted the pre-season pick as #1 heading into the new season. The Ducks will now be led by new Head Coach Joe Kerwin. UO was followed by Simon Fraser, Gonzaga, Oregon State, Washington, Boise State and Idaho in the voting.

The B Division was re-districted into two new conferences. Defending champ Montana was tabbed as #1 in the B Division pre-season poll, and placed in the newly-formed South bracket with Albertson, Linfield, Southern Oregon, Western Oregon and Willamette. Division B North will have Central Washington, Lewis & Clark, Pacific Lutheran, Puget Sound, Western Washington and Whitman. B Teams will play all five teams in their own sub-division and three teams out of the other geographic division for a total of eight conference games. The winners of B North and B South will receive byes into the semi-finals, while four at-large teams from B North and South will play each other in quarter-final games for the right to go to the league's Final Four.

The PNCLL voted that the 2006 post-season tournament will be hosted by the University of Oregon at Tigard High School, south of Portland.
