That email... gait19... was the email of the head coach back in the Fall of 2004. John Luna was the head coach during the 2005 regular season and he recieved emails from the league then, I don't know why Owen still has that email as a contact for us. Not a big deal though. I was just worried other teams wouldn't be informed since I was under the impression an email was not sent out to us which apparently wasnt the case.
Anyways we can be contacted at my email jimh3983@aol.com or our President Bryan Algeo's email at tinyalg@hotmail.com

Since the drive from Indiana, PA to Ann Arbor, MI is like over 5 hours long. we will be driving up Friday evening. What's fun up at U of M for my colleagues and I to do that night and Saturday night for that matter, since it is a 2 day event apparently?

Can't argue if you're looking for college aged fun. However, if you're looking for a more adult scene, the Main Street area in Ann Arbor cannot be beat in Michigan for restaurants, bars and general nightlife.

If you like Irish pubs, there's a great one on Main Street--Conor O' Neills. Great food, great beer, great atmosphere. They even brought the inside of the pub all the way from the Old Country!!

Sounds like it should be a fun weekend.
Back to the main topic, the meetings... it seems we had a lot of turnover from last year to now in the CCLA as far as Head Coaching and Administrative offices... what are some major topics we need to discuss at the meetings to make our conference stronger administratively and competitively?

Communication, communication, communication (Conf to team, team to conf, team to team).
How and why to add new teams.
Improved conference tournament.
Building better programs (how the conference and other teams can help)

I think everyone can agree, the communication issue really needs improved. That is really half the battle in my mind. How it should happen, that is what needs to be outlined?
The people who step up to take leadership positions will really need to take an honest assessment of their time situation. Everyone knows the level of commitment can be extreme.
Maybe all this fresh blood (new coaches) will breath some new life into the league?

I think one great communication tool that needs to be improved in our conference is the CCLAX.org website. It doesn't get updated enough and things could be added that would help communication out at least a little bit acrosse the board (team to team; conference administration to teams).
