Effect of Hockey Lock-out/Strike on Lax Growth

I'm sure I'm not the first laxer to observe the NHL situation and think, "This is probably a great opportunity for the NLL. Maybe they can fill the vacuum that the NHL is leaving."

Any thoughts?

Has anybody seen any reliable literature on this point?
