How could Farquhar still have eligibility? According to someone who posted on this board, he played one year at Hobart. I know he played in 2002, took 2003 off due to injury, played in 2004 & 2005. By my count that's your 4 years. Are you sure you have your facts straight?

The question is whether he ever stepped on the field for the Statesman in a regular season game. If he didn't, he's got eligibility - if he did?

My money is on Lindenwood to made a steady climb towards the top this year. Not saying that they will make it all the way up, but there were many skeptics about them last year and I think this year they will prove to people that they are the real deal.

According to the Hobart website, he played in 2 games during the 2001 season, but didn't register any points.

In order to get that done, they will have to schedule more aggressively in their OOC games. They looked pretty good in Blaine; they could score but were lacking on the defensive end. The questions many people had about them last year had to do with the fact that they really couldn't stack them up against the other top 15 teams due to lack of a point of comparison. Perhaps it will be different this year.

I'm not the final word on this, but if he played in 2 games, then he used a year of eligibility in the USL-MDIA's minds, so he has none left.

Lindenwood brought in maybe 3 or 4 transfers from D3 Wittenberg which will improve depth and experience.

FSU got 3 AA's...from Florida. I wasn't an AA in highschool, but I have a hard time seeing those kids make any impact when the Noles go play some of the USLIA powerhouses.

While AA's from Florida might be a step or two behind those from Baltimore or NY (but quickly catching up), they are definitely comparable to those from California or Colorado. Make an impact? Maybe not a large one as freshmen (or maybe so, we'll have to wait for the season), but I'm sure they'll be a great addition for FSU. Since Danny coaches down in Florida, and has seen the best of the MDIA, I'd say his opinion is going to be better than most on this.

I mean, they might be talented players on their own, but most of the time these good players from the South lack the idea of the team game. They have great skills, but they aren't on a team with lots of good players who can handle the ball and score. This makes them greedy (for lack of a better word), and they dont give up the ball as easily on offense when things go bad. I'm not knocking their talent, I'm just saying they'll have a lot to catch up on in the team game. That's my opinion at least.

depends on who you are comparing them to. I tend to agree with you. i would also say your point applies to any player going from HS to a reasonably competitive college, having to adjust to a higher level of talent surrounding them, not being so much 'the man' .

FSU's roster is already full of kids from FL right now (most of them never AA's) and they had what i would call a successful season. Adding more of the best kids from the same areas can only help. I'de be interested to know what your frame of reference on FL hs lax is. You could PM me if you like.[/i]

Me and another attacker transferred from St. John's, a D1 Startup last year, he went to Lindenwood, and I'm at CSU. He's gonna bring a huge spark to their attack, quick, great stick, and a natural lefty, with what they're returning and what theyre bringing in, theyre set for a good run in '06
Hey there are no settlin down, this is blood for blood and by the gallons. This is the old days, man the bad days, the all or nothin days, they're back!! There's no choices left. And I'm ready for war
