Are PNCLL recruiting classes enough to level a more competetvie PNCLL and bring it up to par with other conferences mainly the WCLL?

But watch out for Oregon State! The Beavers could be the best-kept secret in the MDIA to start next season...

Is Oregon State going to live up to the hype it has been recieving on MDIA
forums, or is competition going to be swept away by those ducks? I see the PNCLL potential, but I am hoping for the actualization to take place more rapidly. Could this be the year the PNCLL sends multiple teams to nationals?

Well, if it is time for two PNCLL teams at the Finals, its going to come through OOC games. Beating up on each other won't get PNCLL teams anywhere. OSU should be very good, but I don't know if they'll be a top 10 MDIA team overnight.

It will be very interesting though. SFU & OSU could both make great leaps this year. Will Oregon fill the spots they lost? They've got that huge bench, are there any more Danny Ernst's hiding in there?

SFU does a good job of scheduling OOC games and it seems like Washington is making a good effort in doing the same. OSU and Gonzaga need to get those OOC games in order to improve and get recognition. Oregon needs to schedule more top 10 teams also...

OSU definately has a lot of potential to make some noise in the PNCLL this year. It is a team with an increadible amount of talent and drive.

I know that they have quite a bit of OOC games scheduled this year, as they are planning a Cali trip over spring break; I do hope that trip will give them some positive recognition in the MDIA as a quality team. Only time will tell however...

That year was 2004, when Oregon and Simon Fraser both went to Nationals. It happened then and I won't be surprised if it happens again this year.

I agree with PLULax. I think Oregon and SFU has the best shot of repeating 2004's PNCLL representation in Nationals.

I'm not picking either way, but last season OSU lost to SFU 8-7, in Canada. From the stats, it looks like without Tipton, but I'm sure both teams were missing players.

Bottom line is both teams should greatly improve. Voters will most likely notice the strides OSU has taken, and hopefully they will be a full team, playing very consistently this season. When they played SFU tight, then ended up 2-4 in the division, it didn't make OSU look great, but it did diminish SFU's persona.

I personally think it will take a few OOC wins to get them into the top 25, but maybe not. If they come out and consistently throttle some their opponents, they could resonably move up there.

I personally think it would be great for OSU to make it. I am a U of O alum so of course I would want it to come at S & F's expense. Both Oregon teams making Nationals would be another big step in increasing Oregon's cred as an up and coming lax state.

Good Luck! While I do believe Oregon has come far in recent years I don't believe that anyone will ever be able to count SFU out.
While SFU may have been going through recent growing pains, BC is still probably one of the largest hotbeds of lacrosse in the World right now and if SFU got a fraction of the BC talent that plays Div1 through III in the US then perhaps you wouldn't be so fast to count them out. I also hear that highschool field lacrosse is now starting to take off throughout Vancouver, which should give all the kids that play summer box the ability to become better at the field game. I hear a few of the SFU alums may be involved. The next few years should be very interesting!

Look for an announcement in regards to lacrosse at Oregon or OSU in the days to come. There are rumblings that something is going on at one or both schools but has been kept of the downlow all summer. Just a rumor at this point so that is why I am not posting it here but because the AGM is Sat. I think word might get out what is going on.
