Hope you fellas in Texas don't mind, but me and a few thousand of my fellow Louisianans are coming over for a little while:

That tracking map shows it being a Cat 4 when it goes through my back yard!! Looks like I will be in College Station for the weekend. One good thing about that.....Zeigen Bock!!!

I know for those in the storm's path this is no laughing matter, but I do think the hurricane is appropriately named. After all it hit Miami right when the Video Music Awards are to take place. As my husband pointed out, it's been about twenty years since Katrina and the Waves have had a big hit...

Hope you and your house weather the storm!

Oh, by the way this storm will most likely result in an increase at the pump...Buy your gas now!! Many rigs will be out-of service after this one comes through.

I know what some of you guys are saying...It's that Bush and his weather machine. He and Cheney are making those hurricanes again to make us pay more at the pump!!

Sure makes me wish we could drill in other domestic locations….Kind of like a diverse portfolio. Don't think they can get the weather machine to work in ANWR.

Seriously, this thing is taking the same track as Andrew in 1992. We are about to get a smack down!!

Thanks Jess. Well, Thibodaux did not get the full force of this storm. We don't have power and there are lots of trees down and some roof damage. Prayers are needed for those in New Orleans.
