Thanks to CP18 for bringing the pictures of SHSU lax in its heyday, and I do hope they will come back to the LSA fold. Here is hoping that some SHSU laxers would see this and get themselves thinking about getting the team back....

Houston's Carl Lewis Stadium hands down. Just wish is wasn't so hot.
NSU's John L Guidry under the lights is also very nice:
We will also have a rec center and fields built soon. In fact our Rec Director is looking at the UTA complex this weekend to get ideas.
I also miss SHSU field and the Zeigen Bock after the game at the place across the street....Do they have a chance of comming back in the LSA?
LSU looks like they are on track with their rec center:

BEST SUNDAY MORNING IN THE LSA
I dont know about the best field in the LSA, but I will say this. SMU was by far my favorite place to play. Sure, the field has its mounds, peaks, and gullys, but it also had a church and a parking garage.
We played SMU on a Sunday morning. Just about the time the WASPy Dallas folks all pulled their 50 thousand dollar cars into the garage to walk across the church, we took the field for the game. The garage had bars on the side of it, not 20 yards from the back of the goal just big enough to squeeze a shot through. So anytime you sent one wide, the ball sailed over the end line, into the garage and soon you heard several loud bangs followed by car alarms. It was by far the most fun place to play ever.

I never had a steady girlfriend like you, but I did get kicked in the balls once by a mule.

SFA would have the nicest field if the administration would let anyone besides football play on the new "sport-turf". its cool that us and the Baltimore Ravens are the only two placest to have it, but why buy it if you aren't going to get enough use out of it. not like SFA posted the best football record

Plenty of places have 'sport turf' SFALax, and many club programs have dedicated club fields with the product. The terms for fake grass are numerous these days with all the companies out there making it and calling it different names. Name an LSA or MDIA team that has Div I or IAA football who play in their schools football stadium, I sure can't.
And don't be so down on your football team, they all can't have seasons like the Bearkats of Sam Houston State

You would think that somebody works for the SHSU Sports Dept. How does that nice watch that they gave you look on your wrist? When am I going to get my season tickets for friends and family? I am family right?
Just Messin' P. Give the guys a shout from me. I will be in touch.

North Texas plays some home games on Fouts Field (Div. 1 Football Stadium). Last year, we played Southwest Missouri State on Fouts. Two years ago, we played SMU.
This year, we hope to have several games there against Tech, SMU and Baylor.
Lacrosse on turf is fast. Game seems to last 5 hours because ball goes out of bounds every 5 seconds.

We USED to have a football team and there will be a whole lot of lacrosse at our football stadium this weekend.

CP,
NSU (Division 1-AA) plays in the “football stadium” (see pictures above). It took some convincing, but we finally joined forces with the girl’s soccer team and now we both play some home games there. We convinced the President that it doesn't make sense to only use the field for only 5 football home games and that it isn't a football stadium...it is NSU's stadium!
They agreed and we use the lights, scoreboard and the sound system! Too bad only Liberty and Uof H are our only home games this year.

I stand corrected.
I will stand by the fact that playing in ones football stadium is very rare within the MDIA at schools with IA or IAA football programs.
