Unfortunately, we have decided to not have the tourney this year. It was a big money looser (due mostly to teams ditching at the last minute, or not paying) and we can't afford that right now. Also, in my first year, I felt it more appropriate to devote my time to building the program, rather than spending the huge amount of time it would take to plan this.

It's not a permanent cancelation, but it's not on for this year.

So no one has any idea about what is going on?

Where is this usually hosted at? Does it travel around?

John Paul must be on vacation because I know he would know for sure. From what I remember hearing at the last few years meetings was that it kind of travels to whoever can handle it in Michigan. Usually just Oakland or U of M because they are the closest to the border for the teams from out of state. I would try to get in touch with John Paul if you want the facts. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

With Grant Neeley stepping down, I have no idea when or where the meetings are. I've emailed the rest of the CCLA board (I'm not on that board) to see what they know, but nobody has responded yet.

We can host them here at Michigan the weekend of Sept 24-25 if needed.

I support the idea of a meeting in Ann Arbor on the 24/25th, rather than the weekend before when I'd like to be in Chicago for the Shootout.

Any news of teams applying for membership?

Robbie Heaps emailed me, and said that he's working on a location, time, and agenda for the meeting.

I suppose that the first item on the agenda is electing a new commisioner :)

JP is willing to host this in Ann Arbor as long as it's the weekend of the 24/25. Owen Blank offered to help out with setting up the agenda.

It appears that the meeting is going to be hosted in Ann Arbor, MI on Sept 24th and Sept 25th. It will begin on Saturday afternoon at 1pm allowing time fo representitives to travel, and will continue over night into sunday.

THIS IS NOT OFFICIAL, but is to be used for planning purposes. Look for a contact from Owen Blank in the next week or so about the official announcement.
