Community Colleges

Are there provisions prohibiting 2-year colleges from forming a club and applying to join the USLIA? Could a JUCO apply just like any other University Club provided that they follow all regulations?

2 year institutions are eligible for MDIA play according to MDIA bylaws. I know from recent discussions that the WCLL has provisions in their bylaws preventing these institutions from joining their league. However, other conferences were open to accepting them should they meet the necessary requirements

I fear that the less regimented policies for things like admission, retention and academic progress could make monitoring eligibility a nightmare for the team and on the national level. For example, since community colleges have no progress requirements, a student could technically attend for 4 years. Would he be eligibile for these four years? The NCAA says no. Would we?
