Need information on LSA Division B teams

Postby Brent Burns on Mon Aug 01, 2005 10:25 pm

Does anyone in the know have information about Loyola University of New Orleans, Nicholls State University and University of Texas at San Antonio coming back to play in the LSA Division B for the 2006 season?

Please send me a PM.

Thanks.

Is there any word on the new teams that are joining the LSA this year?

No, because I can safely say that I am not speaking too soon. Neither Karl nor I have heard any bites from prospective LSA members.

OU

As soon as the school opens its doors, OU will have a new application to its rec department.

Mostly, we are hearing from old schools that want back in.

I sent an email to someone at UTSA and still have not heard any word. You can contact the Sports Recreation department at UTSA and find out if they have any new information from this team.

As a matter of fact, LSA was contacted by a person from Abilene Christian a very long time ago. It is highly unlikely ACU will have a team.
It will be dandy to have OU in MDIA someday, hopefully that soon. Karl is right that OU is working on its application, and the question is when it will come to fruition.

The club is registered through this spring. There is an email address for the president. Dont know what sort of ambitions they have for the coming season, still waiting for a reply.

Thanks for your help.

It is great for the competitveness of the LSA B to have Billy Tauzin Back. He gets his team to play hard. I never played in a more physical game than when we played at Nichols in 2004.

Thanks JW. I appreciate the props. After the Hotter n Hell Tourney, I realized I can better serve the lacrosse community in the coach’s box than on the field. Lots of work here at NSU, but the guys are ready to go. Look forward to seeing all you guys out there again.

BTW- JW flattery doesn’t give you a pass on the message board…You slip up your gone!!
