Per Flip's journal:

"On the good news front Alex Smith (CSU goalie ’03) has signed on to be an assistant, and this is something we both have been hoping for, and now it is becoming an actuality. He brings a love for the program along with his passion for the game. His skill as author, goalie, and coach is well documented."

What a great opportunity...best of luck!

Did he ever really leave? I know he was coaching Petey by phone at BYU. I'd have to agree with Flip, I have met very few(maybe 2) people with his level of love for the game. And he also does the best post game writeups.

Thank you both for the nice words. I'm excited to be going back to join up with CSU again. Effective on the 25th or so this month, my only posts will be "official" ones from the team and the editorial comments will be reserved. Someone will have to pick up the slack in the picks forum, and I vote last year's winner, Hugh Nunn. Anyway, thanks again and good luck to all next year. Anyone wanting to get ahold of CSU for scheduling, etc. you can PM and I will get back to you.
Always on point . . .

Alex,

I'll miss the voice of reason on the boards. Best of luck to you and the team for '06.
