Augustana College looking for games

Augustana College located in Rock Island, Illinois is looking for teams to play games against in the Fall 2005. Augustana has been an a member of the GRLC Division B since 2003. We are a competitive team trying to get better. Our record last spring was 4-5 and we are looking to improve on this come the Spring 2006 season. Home and home games (with return trips made in Fall 2006) are an option. Augustana is willing to travel to this fall, in order to have Fall home games next year.

The weekend of 24-25 September we have Iowa State (UMLL) coming to Rock Island and possibly Iowa (GRLC Division A) coming the same weekend. An additional team that would come in that weekend would also play one of those teams.

Iowa has commited to playing Augustana the weekend of 23-25 September. We would like to have another team join us to play that weekend. If you are interested, please send me a PM.

Iowa and Augustana why don't you guys consider coming up to the Hot-Dish Classic Charity Tournament in Minnesota Oct 8-9. We raised $1,200 for the American Cancer Society last year. We play on six grass fields and have lights, plus seperate A & B division competitions and a boys high school competitions where you can recruit, equipment vendors on site, a hot-dish dinner on Sat night and cheap hotels in the area (see the Hot-Dish Post for more details.)

Last year we had a great tournament with the following teams participating: UMD, U of M, St Thomas. Lakers Men's LC, Mpls Men's LC, St John's (B), UW- Stout, (B), and Kansas State.

This year we expanding the tournament and have an A & B bracket. We have also invited: Lincoln Park Men's LC, UW-Eau Claire, UW Steven's Point, UW-White Water, Bethel College (B), St Cloud State (A), Mankato (A), UW-Madison (A), Moorehead (A), NDSU (B), SDU (B), Carleton (B), Dordt (B) plus other IL, IA, and WI teams
