Michigan State's recruiting list is up. The teams we are still waiting for are Indiana, Miami, and Pittsburgh.

We also have "verbal" commitments for two transfers.

Will Clugston was a 2003 HS All American. Received a scholarship to Sacred Heart in CT. He's started there for the past 2 years.

Geoff Greenlees started at Western Michigan last year as a freshman.

Those two will bolster our returning D (all 3 starters returning) including MDIA second team all american Chris Zolkower.

With Zwokler at 6'3 220 and clugston coming in at 6'1 195, the MSU defense will look real beefy.

Here are Clugston's stats
2004: Played in 13 games as a rookie making four starts...finished the season with 13 ground balls...Had two grounders and two caused turnovers against Butler (3/13/04).

2005: 3-0 0 0 0 0 .000 0 .000 0 0 0 2 0-0 .000 1- 1.0

That is 3 games played, zero started, 2 ground balls and 1 minute of penalty.
But that isn't to say I wouldn't mind a junior d1 transfer.

Actually Clugston would be a down grade in "beefiness" from the previous starter he may replcace.

And apparently I was misinformed about will's stats. Thanks for clarifying them.

Finally, we are always happy to get a D1 transfer. Zolkower was a D2 transfer, and look what he did. :)

Certainly things are looking up for MSU. Perhaps they will help create a stronger CCLA at the national level.

heh.. This is kinda funny considering that the email address for this user (which I won't post) ends with "@msu.edu".

You former Oakland players are so witty.

For the way the last few years have gone, I don't think anyone at Michigan State has any room to talk about Oakland Lacrosse.

I didn't say anything about Oakland Lacrosse, I merely said that it was humerous that a former Oakland player would say something about MSU while attending MSU.

The original poster's opinion is that we "suck and always have" and he's entitled to that opinion. Oakland has beaten MSU the past 4 years. Oakland has had a really good team the last 4 years. That's my opinion. It's also my opinion that MSU doesn't suck, but that is just my opinion.

Both teams have had their ups and downs, and Oakland certainly has had MSU's "number" over the past 4 years, but let's not forget that only a few years ago it was the other way around. In the "pre Binge" era, MSU beat oakland quite a few times when we played.

I have nothing but respect for OU's program for the way they have performed, and again I didn't say anything about the program. MSU may have an up year this year. OU may also. Who know's. That's why they play the games.

The players and I look forward to the OU game every year. This year is no exception.

Well written response Matt. MSU will be well served by your guidance.
You wouldn't have any bulletin board material for next season, would you?
