Unreal soccer game - AC Milan vs Liverpool

Non-lacrosse specific topics.

i left work to watch this game. actually took the afternoon off. i knew it was gonna be an awesome game and Liverpool didnt deny me. Even though i root for Arsenal, im glad Liverpool won. Italian soccer sucks.

and, they have given Liverpool the opportunity to defend their title. They enter the Champions League in the very first round as qualifiers and they have to beat other teams just to make it into the first round of group play. thats fair, though. for those that dont understand, thats like in golf where you have to go to Q school just to get a PGA card, then you have to play in tourneys to try and qualify for the PGA Championship.
peace.

Im watching the WC qualifiers and im not so sure that France will get in. they are in 4th place in their group right now. Holland is running away with their group. I'm surprised by the Ukraine, who is dominating a group with WC 2002 Semifinalist Turkey and European Champion Greece.

Also, Africa is on its head. there could be 4 first timers going through cuz the favorite in each group is struggling. im shocked at senegal, nigeria, south africa, and cameroon NOT leading their groups. im more shocked at Togo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Angola LEADING THEIR GROUP! WHO!

I'm excited for US and Mexico (who just beat Brazil in the Coferderations Cup). they are top 10 in the world rankings.
peace.

It was until I recently bought MVP Baseball 2005 and I usually hate baseball games.

But FIFA has always been one of my all-time greats year in and year out, right behind NCAA Football (watch out for 2006 in mid-July, Iowa is ranked #3!!).

All right, Benson. You convinced me to buy a (gasp) baseball game. We'll see how much I like it. Let's see . . . I'm going to suck right off the bat anyway, should I just go ahead and be the Rockies so I can correctly simulate a 100 loss season? Give me some tips so I don't completely get embarrassed by the CPU!
Always on point . . .

All I can say is do those practice games for pitching and hitting to get that down. Once you get the hang of hitting, knowing when to try and it hit on the ground vs. in the air, when to pull the ball vs. hit it opposite field, it's not too hard. At first, hitting will seem somewhat hard if you are playing on a level other then basic. Pitching is pretty easy, just don't hang breaking balls up and I usually try to take my pitcher out of the game when he gets around 50% in stamina.

I am just a fan of indepth season stuff (like recruiting on NCAA Football) so I like the idea of being able to work with your minor league teams (calling up and down, trading promising stars). Also, to change it up, I am the Rangers but I did the fantasy draft rather than starting with your basic line-up. Get to play with some random people you don't normally know about. I haven't done the owner mode yet but I heard it is somewhat challenging to try and make money, key concept is winning and the fans will come.

That's all I got for advice for it.

Next Tuesday is the big day as NCAA 2006 comes out.
