Does anyone know any detail on the best of the west fall ball tourney they usually have in vegas in the fall and who would be the person to contact to participate?

I am still questionable on whether I can play or not but hoping to make it out there.

Don't let a bad haircut get in the way of playing. That's what the helmet is for :P

Try Robert Handsfield at UNLV; they sponsor the tournament:

Maybe others will speak up after this post, but personally I don't think the Vegas tourney for college club teams is worth it. Don't get me wrong, the teams they get are usually high caliber teams, and I LOVE VEGAS. But, the administration of the tourney is what is so disappointing.
The fields that they secure are nothing more than over-glorified dirt parking lots. Last year they had Cattle and Bulls sharing the same fields. Let me tell you how nice cow shit smells when it's 100 degrees outside and less than 100 yards away. There is always rocks and other debris on these fileds. Now I know you are in the middle of the desert, but UNLV has to have a field with SOME grass on it. In fact, the cattle pens had more grass than all the fields combined.
They did not have any training staff or any staff period at the last tourney. The hosts were non-extistant, they hardly did anything to earn the entrance fees which they happily collected. We had to have some of our own rookie players run the Game-Clock on the field while we played.
And I think we can all agree that if the tourney can't even get a t-shirt printed up, because "we didn't have the time" than their is ill-preperation on their behalf. Alright, the reason I needed that shirt may have been beacause I lost my shirt at the casinos and could have used that tourney t-shirt when we left LV.
In my opinion, this tourney is a joke, the men's Vegas tourney is actually a better run operation than their collegiate tourney.

Atxlax, I couldn't agree more. It is one of the most fun tournaments to play in but also one of the most poorly run. The Collegiate tourney lacks "knowledgeable" personnel and an adequate training staff. I can't believe it is that hard to find a couple of kids that would be willing to volunteer to work the score table in exchange for a free t-shirt, lunch, and the chance to watch some really good Lacrosse. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to run a score table if you can count and start the clock that is all that really matters.

As far as the fields are concerned, does the men's tourney play on the same fields as the collegiate tourney? Are there better fields near by that the tourney could move to? Does the tourney need to move off-campus? Does the tourney even benefit UNLV athletics in any way?
