Andrew McMahon, the leader singer of Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin was recently diagnoised with Acute Lymphatic Leukemia. A music news site I frequent came up with the idea of "Andrew Bands", much like the Livestrong bands, these are orange, the official color for Leukemia Awareness and have the lyrics "I Will Fight" embossed on them. The phrase is taken from Something Corporate/Andrew's song "Watch the Sky".
I know the whole band thing is sort of "cliche" but its another form of honoring people and spreading awareness, no better than a bumper sticker. All of the profits from the bands will be donated to Andrew's charity of choice, the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.
