Scottie,
We're always excited for you to come into town. I hope you wear all your Denver Broncos gear too. Seriously though it will be nice to have you in town. Just don't go and get hurt with all the other weekend warriors.

Former MSU goalie here with a couple of things:
WyoPoke - Thanks for the compliment. I was "motivated" that day after losing to UNC in a game that we should have won.
Mace - Thanks for the old guy remark. I'm not old, I'm just experienced (but not in the goal). Oh yeah, I'm fat too.
Anyway, I'm most likely going to slip into some sort of assistant coaching position this year due to injury and school/work commitments (working at a start-up, FE exam, graduating, etc.). As it turns out, I played last season with a herniated disk which has now progressed into full-blown sciatica, so that's why I sucked - I could barely move.
Enough about me, let's talk about our team. We've got an experienced goalie from Maryland (who coached me last year) who's between the pipes along with an amazing young talent as the back-up. We've added some new players and the returning players are looking to make a run for the championship.
As far as the other "old guy" (Silvestri) goes, I think he will be playing as his schedule allows. If any of you saw our game against Ft. Lewis at the shootout, you know what we're capable of even when Joe is taken out of the equation.
Looking forward to a great season. See ya on the field (from the sidelines).
