I am hoping for a Breck/Blake Final, huge rivalry and already a fantastic game between us earlier this season. But we will see how the tide turns tomorrow! Enjoy the games

There are predictions of potentially severe weather this aft/evening. :x

If I hear anything about postponement, I'll post here. I'd appreciate it if you do the same

Totino v. Blake - two well coached teams. Both head coaches from St. Thomas! TG's Justin Hoban and Blake's Hank Marotske. A one goal game in the regular season. Interesting matchups - Pitzl v. Cathcart. Nesser v. K. Dooling. Nothing jumps out to me as an obvious strength/weakness matchup. Given that, and presuming weather is not a factor - we go back to the basic formula: whoever stays out of the penalty box and dominates possession time wins.

AV v. Breck. Breck beat a strong Osseo team and a EP team with a returning AA goalie. Now they get AV. A few things were made clear by AV when they played BSM. First, that they have a very good goalie. Second, that they have a strong face-off game. But most importantly, they are absolutely deadly in unsettled/transition. If Breck doesn't take care of the ball, AV will score. And score alot. What's Breck's solution? McKeon and Senn controling the ball and controling tempo. If Breck dominates possesssion, Breck improves its odds significanlty. IF AV forces mistakes by Breck, AV will be tough to beat. Another big question - Can AV defend Senn/McKeon?

Wow, Apple Valley had a hugely entertaining game today.

I am predicting that they win by one goal in the championship.

AV by 6, blakes d is very overrated, and after watching the totino game, there are tons of holes in it. I question their goalies ability to make clutch saves against the best shooting team in the state. Blake is a great team though, and if they play like they were earlier in the year, it could be intresting, but if the Blake team that has shown up in the tourney comes in plays, could be a blow out.

blakes D is B-A-D bad bad bad, probably because Sawtell is a coach (just kidding lucas) and I could invision another 10-4 loss in the championship game like 2 years ago when a gopher was an assistant coach for Blake, I guess they know how to lose at the high school level. Only kidding Eugene, sort of...

Blake Defense

Postby BlakeLax42 on Thu Jun 09, 2005 8:42 am

Offense wins games, Defense wins championships.

We'll see wich defense comes out to play on Saturday. AV has a great goalie, however we've seen some good goalies this year already.

Keep picking on my defense, we win Johnny Erickson buys, we lose, I buy.

Leave Sawtell out of this, I don't want his feelings hurt before the big game. He's sensitive you know!

Thanks for all the love on the board! Much respect!

The championship may already been played the first game Tuesday night.

Yes Blake has a chance. But I think AV has been making people pay for their mistakes all tournament, and won the close game. Av offense maybe to much. AV by 3

I have to disagree with F Clark, this truely is the championship game, because who is the only undefeated team in the league? Oh yeah its Blake. Even so, I still think Apple Valley will win, with two future dulaxer Mithun and Kackman leading the way for Apple Valley's powerful attack. Apple Valley by 1

Should be a fun and incredible game with two very talented teams. It will be interesting to see what matchups get the attention, and which style of play is more dominating. Enough from this side, peace out my friends!
