GVSU @ CMU

Postby laxfan25 on Fri Feb 11, 2005 11:54 am

Great game for the first half. GVSU popped in the first goal, and it was 1 -1 after 1. Teams traded goals in the 2nd, and CMU scored with less than a minute left before half to take a 3 -2 lead in a surprisingly close game. The wheels kind of fell off in the 2nd half as the lack of sufficient middie legs took its toll on GVSU. CMU scored 7 in the 3rd and 3 in the 4th to take a 13-2 win that looked much closer in the first half.
GVSU's goalie was outstanding early on, making several point-blank snuffs as well as other good stops. Who is he and where did he play in HS? He looks like a "keeper" keeper!

Thoughts on the Pitt/ Indiana tomorrow @ Pitt?

I say Indiana by 5 goals. Indiana is solid and has a solid core returning. Also, Pitt is without a "true" Goalie.

Thoughts?

I am scratching my head because I just got an email from Austin College (Sherman, Texas), for they came to Arlington to play Ferris State today (Feb. 12);however, I was told that they never came down to play. Any word on that?

Indiana by 5?

Postby LaxGuru on Sun Feb 13, 2005 12:11 am

That seems a little steep, considering Pitt beat them the last time they met when Pitt was less talented, anywho Pitt beat Indiana 12-11 about 45 minutes ago.
