Colorado's New Players

Colorado's New Players

Postby the lax on Sun Feb 06, 2005 2:52 pm

Watch out for Colorado this year. Word on the street is they picked up some new players to fill the spots of the graduating seniors. Even though they lost two All-Americans, they could be a darkhorse contender for the RMLC championship and perhaps the national championship. You heard it hear first.

Any one know who these new players are?

They got Mark Tapy, a long-stick who ran both LSM and in-close for us the last two years. He transferred to CU to be closer to home and because he was no longer liking LA.

He played for Denver East in HS and was on the Colorado All-State team. At SC, he was an awesome longpole and was either the #1 or 2 defenseman on our team the last two seasons. I saw him this fall and he said that he was starting for CU. I'm sure that he'll be an awesome pickup for them this year, I just wish he were still with us...

Who will fill the net for them after the brick wall Blues(not spelled right) left Boulder?

I watched them in the fall and they have a nice young keeper who I would guess would win the job. Not sure of his name. Talking to Bluse this fall too, they had something like six goalies come out, so I'm sure they will find someone. Kasaii is the only one I know of, but I don't think he is ready to be a full-time goalie. Being older will give him a leg up but the Buffs play a lot of games this year, so I imagine you will see several goalies in the mix.
Always on point . . .
