Western 12 Central 7
Score was tied 5-5 at halftime. Obviously a huge improvement by the second-year Wildcats to hang with the more experienced Vikings. More on both these teams soon...

SFU vs. PLU
As I look back upon the game from Saturday, these are the things I know for sure.
1. SFU is quick and plays very smart lacrosse
2. As good as Matt Johnson was, this freshman goalie will fill his void very well
3. PLU's defense was excellent, including the play of goalie Bret Bartell
4. SFU's defense was even better - with an aggressive style that started several transition plays that led to easy Fraser fast-break goals.
5. Christians will make a major run at the league scoring title.
6. The Clansmen are very, very well coached.
Thanks to the Clan for not only a great day of lacrosse, but as usual the boys from up North were very classy on and off the field.
We hope to see you again in Canada during the league championships. You certainly helped us determine the areas that need improvement and we plan to use this game as a building block for a very successful season.

i think now that we are in the B division i can appreciate the SFU and oregon rivalry a little more now that we are not in the mix. this rivalry is helping to put the PNCLL on the map and both teams are making lots of noise. i am intersted to see or hear about oregons OOC schedule to see who they are playing and how it will make them a major player in nationals if they go. big ups to big O for taking that step in challenging SFU consistently and helping us all get on the map. i don't think without oregon and SFU PLU, UPS, western, and whitman would not be as highly ranked in the B division as we are. thanks to the league as a whole helping us all get better and more recognized in the country.....just my 2 cents.

I watched the game and towards then end, WWU just over powered CWU with having more players on the bench that had more playing experience. But overall not a bad game for CWU.

That's really impressive for Central. Last year they were short on numbers also, but seemed to be very dedicated and well coached.

D+SFU Goalie
Yeah that was my bad... when I drafted the weekly thread Chudley was the only Goalie listed on the SFU roster, so I assumed he would be the starter. Now Pascas is listed alongside Chudley as the Clansmen' keepers.
Sorry all!
