Ok, I guess I will go first:
Jan29th
Baylor @ OSU- Baylor is the obvious choice here.I havent seen OSU this year but I did see Baylor at our fall torunament and there looking good. That guy from Air Force (#1) is pretty good, not the big shot taker but definately the man who makes plays happen.
UNT @ UT- Gonna go with UT. We practiced with UT and played against UNT in the fall and its my opinion that UNT has fallen off there game a little bit. I feel like UT has gotten in some pretty good freshman, only thing I dont know about is whos gonna be replacing Alter at goalie. I know he split time in cage with another goalie last year, so I will assume that goalie will be starting (anyone feel free to correct me if Im wrong).
SMU @ Tech- Tech for this one. SMU is pretty good but Tech has depth on there bench. I saw the army they brought to our fall tournament and there werent too many weak links in that chain. I know SMU came to the tournament but I didnt really get a chance to watch them, so I dont really know how there looking this year, but my basis will come from last years experiences.
Tulane @ A&M- A&M here. Tulane has a fairly good team that gets some student's from the northeast, but there lack of a coach has hurt them in the past. Im pretty sure I heard something about a former player coaching them this year, but I could be wrong. If I am right hopefully this coach could be the link they need be a very competative team. I know A&M lost Dunn, but Ive heard good things about Turnbow and Tabb so I think that they should be able to take care of things pretty easily this weekend and this season.
Southwestern @ Rice- gonna go with Southwestern. My decision here comes from a lack of having played Rice. Southwestern is pretty good, theyve got a solid team, but I dont really know what kind of losses/gains in players they've had this year.
UTD @ UTA- UTA, but im a biased opinion so anyone else wishing to comment on this would obviously have a more objective opinion.
TCU @ SFA- SFA. I know this is TCU's first year back in the LSA so I honestly have no idea what kind of team they are bringing having not seen them in the fall. SFA has a good team, but my basis is off of last year having no idea what kind of gains/losses in players have occured. Choice is mainly based on this being TCU's return year.
Nichols @ St. Ed's- Nichols. Nichols is a strong team, theyve got a good team [except for that Rick Jones kid, he sucks
]. I dont know if they are returning Virgil or not, but his abscence could leave a pretty big hole to fill. Ive heard the St. Ed's goalie is pretty good (I personally didnt get to play them last year) but I dont think they are at the same level that Nicholls is at. Once again, havent seen any play in the fall so all assumptions are based on last years play.
Jan 30th
UNT VS Rice (@UT)- UNT is my choice to win this game.
Tx State @ A&M- A&M with the win again. I know Tx State got alot of attention last year making it as far as they did, and how could they not with that stud Kyle Saunders
, but Id have to agree that last year there schedule was pretty fluffy. A&M just has alot of talent and depth, I think they are definately the team to beat this year despite not winning the LSA Championship last year.
UTSA @ SFA- SFA's win again. Did not get to play UTSA last year and Ive heard that there traveling abilities are shaky at best. Hopefully it will be a good game, but I feel that SFA is more organized as a team on and off the field.
Trinity @ St. Ed's- Trinity. I think it will be a close game but I think with Trinity having just moved down from the A division will be coming to the game with some experience from a higher level and something to prove in the B division.
These are my educated opinions (although I dont know how educated I am, hehe).

Baylor @ OSU- Baylor Tough jump from B to A for OSU. Doesn’t look like much of a game.
UNT @ UT- Toss up…Lean UT One goal game last year, but President Bush doing the hook em horns sign is a omen…UT wins!
SMU @ Tech- Texas Tech Haven’t seen SMU yet, but Texas Tech has a solid squad.
Tulane @ A&M- A&M Tulane is looking good, but not the upper tier yet…Give them a few years and they might make this one a run.
Southwestern @ Rice- Toss up…Lean Rice. Seen and coached against both last year. Southwestern plays a tough game, but Rice could pull this one out in the end.
UTD @ UTA- UTA UTA is a hard nose talented team. The number 5 ranking is legit. Haven’t seen UTD yet. They pulled some tough games off last year, but don’t think this one is in the cards.
TCU @ SFA- Toss up…Lean TCU. TCU of old can win this one, but will they are facing a tough division B team in SFA at home. I am betting there will be some TCU of old still left.
Nichols @ St. Ed's- NSU Virgil is back and looking very good. Wickwire has done a lot with the Defense he will not be the only star with a long pole. Fredo Soler, Jon Noble, Josh Sanders, Jacob Degate, Jason Smitty Rusty Boudreaux return and will be strong on the offensive end. Rick Jones and a few other new arrivals will add to the sparks on offense. Because I have a previous engagement…Coach Wickwire will be alone in the box. Looking forward to seeing how he does with the Colonels.

UNT VS Rice (@UT)- UNT North Texas stunned Rice 20-2 last year. Plus Rice will likely play a physical game against Southwestern the day before.
Tx State @ A&M- A&M Coming off a practice against Tulane the day before A&M should smoke em.
UTSA @ SFA- SFA Coached against both last year. SFA is tough at home…especially under the lights
Trinity @ St. Ed's- Toss up…Lean Trinity. One goal game last year, and I believe both of these teams can play at the highest level in this conference. Trinity gets the edge because St Ed’s might be still licking their wounds from NSU.

Rice has a new goallie this year, Chris Corbert......really really good, he was my backup at Mines and honestly was just as good as I am, just he was a much better middie then I, so you all better watch out

I am going to go out on a limb and say that you should expect A&M to probably drop at least 20...You should expect Tabb, Turnbow, Knell, Sarchet, and Goode to score when they want to...and you should probably expect to see freshmen and sophomores playing in the 3rd and 4th quarter. But I am by no means an expert on this topic.

KS14; I would recommend taking it to the rack every oppurtunity you have. Especially early. Test A&M's goalie early and don't let him get any rythm started. If you don't get to their defense early it could/will get ugly quickly. Also, I wouldn't overextend your defense at all, those guys will eat your lunch if you try to pressure them outside. Instead, play tight and make them make the outside shot, they usually won't hesitate to rip it from outside, just make sure your keeper is stopping outside shots. Good luck hombre.
It'll be interesting to see if A&M will relieve a little pressure off their rookie goalie by using a slide package. I know Tony doesn't believe in slides, but if his goalie is struggling early and they fall behind, I don't know how he couldn't utilize some slide defense.
KS, A little birdee told me you guys might be missing one or two key players on offense. I hope you guys have all your weapons on O! You know you'll need them, bueno suerte!

I guess you could say I'm a mix of Hong Kong Phooey and Bubbles, and I gots a left hand and a wicked split dodge, which is really difficult without thumbs. But honestly, good luck Kyle and tell J.R. I miss him.

Honestly?
How can a coach not believe in sliding?

Heard from a reliable source that SMU has a transfer from Denver - supposed to be pretty good. Any word on him?

I got to see SMU play quite a bit at our fall tournament. They definitely look like they have a few more horses this year. They advanced to the final in the tournament and lost to Dallas Men's after beating us in the semi-finals.
