is that Matthew Tuttle from UT with an honorable mention appearance?! haha congrats tuttle... i dont know anyone else with that last name.

also congrats to ernst, i think he deserves ROY (that kid is sick).

and congrats to everyone else. i think some of the picks looked a lot like they were based on last years picks, but i guess thats the way it goes.

Ryan Davis wrote:Hey guys...whats up? Ok, who is this Files kid? I have never even heard of this guy, has anyone else? I looked at the stats page and the guy has a ton of goals. He is leading the nation. Someone should have spoken up about him.
Love, Ryan

Well, one has to take into consideration the Eagle's strength of schedule (where there were games against LSU, Trinity, UTA, Baylor, Rice, and OSU who stand no chance against a team like UNT) and I believe Coach Lynch even stated in a previous post:

He did all of this on a team with 7 rookie starters, 5 were true freshman, and one of the guys on the starting attack touched a stick for the first time in September 04. No other player in the LSA even came close to his numbers and every other player considered had a more developed supporting cast.

So basically he HAD to score the vast majority of the goals simply due to an inexperienced cast of starting players. Files is a great player and he definately does deserve high marks and recognition but there is waaay too much hype surrounding this guy. Definately a 1st or 2nd team all conference player but by no means MVP AND Offensive Player of the Year. To put it more plainly, he's somewhat overrated.

I was disappointed to see that Tech's Michael Gregory (Attack #20) and Nathan Torok (FO #16) did not make the list at all. Too bad our team did not do a good job of collecting/posting stats otherwise I'm sure their names would have been on the list. At any rate, congradulations to all of the players who were selected all conference and my apologies if I came across as a bit too critical.

I'll definately have to agree on that one. I might even be a bit guilty of it myself.

You've hit the nail on the head, my man. Although LSA teams might not have played to their full potential this year, I believe we made great strides in our organization. Here's where we find our next step: getting our stats organized and continually posted on our websites and the USLIA account Chris Park set up for us. I'll be the first to admit that we've done a horrendous job with our website; however, it remains as one of my top goals this summer. I challenge each of us to work diligently on this for next years season, so there might be less complaining over who should be league MVP, etc. Don't get me wrong thinking we shouldn't also step up the level of play, but anyways . . . congrats to the all-leaguers and good luck to those teams representing the LSA in Blaine.

Neil Warf with Baylor is very deserving of FO award and of being First Teamer as I have seen him held his own against the best in LSA Div A. If Baylor were able to play against some teams in GRLC and RMLC, it would be have been nice knowing how he would fare against OOC teams in the FO area.

Ive gotten a chance to play ft lewis and UVSC and it seemed that they were both extremely lacking in the FO area. is that just a "b" thing or is the "A" division just alot better in that field?
and for the record neither teams won any of the clamps or scoops that day.... zero

Referring to Neil, Baylor were scheduled to play Kansas State, Kansas, Utah and Colorado in early part of March, but they had to forfeit those games. I just checked Baylor's roster and just learned that Neil Warf is a senior. OC, Baylor will sorely miss his FO duties next season.

Scratching my head, how come the Baylor's current roster lists him as a senior?? Well, it will be great seeing him play again next year. Thanks for this info!
