Personally, I would probably take him over Davis if I were picking sides, but Davis had the better season, which is what the award is for. Cunningham and Stanitz-Harper both had over 55 points. No conspiracy theory.

Agreed. The Anderson from the BYU game in Provo vs. the Anderson that played at Shea against CSU were two totally different players.

And hopefully one of these years everyone will realize that Flip's last name is NaumbUrg with a U. I think that's the fourth certificate or award etc. with a misspelled name on it.

This is my last post on this then Ill drop it. Anderson did put up 4 goals and I think 1 assist against SB(an earlier season game); just because a kid doesnt score 10 goals against teams like Mines doesnt mean he shouldnt make 1st team.
I thought you were gonna make the hot cocoa out of milk and chocoalate, not crap.

I can vouch that Anderson has a really good shot from the outside, I remember one hitting top corner and thinking..wow, that was fast, but all conference isnt about how good you did against one team or another, about who your team played, about any of that, its what coaches think of you, so maybe the coaches didnt like Anderson....its not all that uncommon

It has nothing to do with whether or not coaches like a certain player (and I believe I get where you are going with this, Chris). Plain and simple, I believe all three players ahead of Anderson had better seasons. It does not mean they are better players necessarily. Suffice it to say, all four attackmen are very solid players and probably among the top 7 or 8 in the country. People shouldn't take it so personally if they were or weren't picked for All-League/All-American. There are two awards that I cared about as a player. One was All-Tournament in St. Louis and one was winning the last game on the last day. Everything else is incidental and really should not be a motivation for players.

Are you sure? I've known the guy for 6 years now and have always seen NaumbErg - and he's never corrected anyone. Even our website has the E - seems like something he would correct over a 6 year span.

Naumburg is spelled with a "U" and not "E". I misspelled his name for the longest time before he corrected me. He told me that after years of people spelling it with an "E"; he simply gave up trying to correct everyone.
