Just a question, not trying to instigate a fight or anything... but how does Tip, with over 8 goals per game, not make 1st team?!? Also, how does Richard Clayton, at number 5 overall in stats, get no mention? I agree with the bias comment. Politics do not belong on the lacrosse field guys.

My guess would be Tipton only played in 5 games, meaning the most All-Star votes he could recieve was 5... others could have recieved 10 from their respective teams.... Clayton is in a similar position, with 7 games, and even Meinhard with only 4. I think a lot of you guys are missing how all-stars are decided upon.... The opposing team votes for the all-stars, not the board, the board adds them up, and arranges them accordingly... There's not a lot of room for bias in that system...

You'll also notice that every player on the first team was on a team that made the playoffs. As great as I think my goalie and attackmen were, if we couldn't get to the final 4, I have a hard time making my case for player of the year, or first team for that matter.

Congratulations, all who are on there most definitely deserve the accolades they recieved. You make a clear point, they made the final four.

My post was meant to be a positive constructive criticism of how to make the voting more fair. I did not aim it at any individual or team. My comments were made from a fair point of view in hoping of seeing how others around the league viewed it. Sorry for offending anyone, but that was not the point of the post.

Not to be a burr in your sock Kyle, but Carpenter from OSU made first team at defense - well deserved - without his team making the playoffs. Otherwise you are exactly right. The rest of the first team was from playoff teams.

And with respect for Tipton, who is certainly one of the very best players in the PNCLL, having only played in 5 or 6 games really hurt him - along with the fact that Kladis, Sonkin and Christians had fantastic numbers as well.

Attack is definitely the hardest position to make the 1st team All-League. Most teams put their best offensive player at attack, so the list of great attackmen is very long - but only 3 make 1st team.

Thanks Jason, I missed that... I must have scrolled up to and looked at the 2nd team A's there....

Is Meinhard going to get a full season in soon? A few years ago he hurt his knee or ankle pretty bad in a game against PLU. Does he still have any years left to play? If we were talking about unsung hero's that guy could play for any team I was a part of, I wish he could have gotten more PNCLL games in the last few years, he was really good, and very underrated.

This is the first year that J hasn't played a full year I beieve. This year he tore a ligament in his shoulder and partially flattened the ball of his shoulder joint when we were play UW. This was supposed to be his senior year, but we are going to try and apply for a medical red shirt. J and I played together in high school (he was a year behind me), but I know he was a high school All American, and in my opinion probably the most underated middie in the league.
