How the hell does this happen? I have been away from these boards too long and I come back and a travisty like this has happened!!!! This is unacceptable, and a shame to the WCLL. How is 1st team not Brittain? His attitude may not be what people expect out of a goalie, but his talent is superior, and has been superior for the last 4 years (all four of which he has never been a first team all-league selection). This Pringle kid certaintly has a lot of pressure on him now. WOW! I just don't understand it.

I don't think that Brittain should have "moved up" into the 1st team just because of his past and the fact that he is a senior. Can't admit to seeing either Pringle or Brittain play, but the goalie with the best season should get the award, not the one who is "next in line."
Always on point . . .

Maybe so, maybe not. Certainly wasn't the case last year, was it?

I think we should stop writing about who deserves what and congratulate both goalies on Stellar seasons. If you look at the stats, Pringle let up 34goals and Brittan let up 39 goals, both in 16games. That is incredible to me, that both these goalies let up an average little over 2 goals a game and if you combine their total G.A. it is less then any other goalie in the league. (Now that maybe a little off because you dont know if they played in all the games) regardless they both deserve lots of respect and credit for representing the WCLL in such a way. Maybe they will be head to head in the WCLL Finals.
I would also like to congratulate the Coach of the year John Hughes. Very well deserved.

I agree completely with CATLAXMAN. Brittain may have not had his best year, but in the past he has been the best goalie and been snubbed, by goalies who achieved their awards on their rep. CATLAXMAN is right, if that is how it has been in the past why change it this year.

Ken,
I am not trying to take away anything from anyone, They both are having great seasons. I just think that Brittain deserves more respect than he gets. It will be interesting to see who wins 1st team goalie the next two years.
Congrats to coach Hughes and his coaching staff. An incredible job they have done this year. Good luck to them and all teams this weekend.

Props to my boy Ashwin. I saw him as a young scrawny freshman who had never played a day of lax in his life. Now he is all growns up! He kept that team in a lot of games and deserves that award. Great job Shwin! BW
