Former Simon Fraser star Andrew Martin signs with Minnesota

Former Simon Fraser defender Andrew Martin signed with the Minnesota Swarm the other day. He spent his last three seasons in Philadelphia playing with the Wings. Good luck to him in Minnesota!

saw that in the paper down here. how did he do with the wings? get any PT or was he practice squad? think he'll play in MINN?

He was one of their better defenders in Philly, and a fan favourite. I think when he got released there it was more of a contract dispute than a performance issue. The GM in Minnesota, Marty O'Neill, is his old GM from Philly, so I'm sure he'll be playing lots...
