Does anyone see an upset coming out of the division B Playoffs
1 Utah valley state v 8 CSU Pueblo
2 Montana state v 7 Fort Lewis
3 Boise State v 6 Mines
4 UNC 5 Western
I really think that Western can pull off the upset they come off two big wins vs fort and mines and are looking to payback UNC for that loss they suffered earlier in the year. Plus UNC has been down and out latley losing the last 3 games and not even playing in texas.

I wouldn't call Western winning over UNC an upset at all. Western looked good yesterday. Plus, this is a 4th vs 5th seed game, so the teams are as close to each other as possible. Also, it's always hard for a close ranked team to beat the same opponent twice in one year. I am really excited to see this game played. I think this will be a great first round playoff game. Good luck to both of you.

Especially after the 20-2 womping that UNC took against MSU. Its not that UNC isnt a good team...thats just a bit of a confidence killer

rmlc division b playoffs
How does the seedings in the RMLC work? Everyone says that UVSC is going to be the number one seed. But according to the RMLC website, Montana State is at the top of the standings because they have more division wins. Will the teams be seeded based on the RMLC standing's, rank in the polls, or number of wins overall?

i noticed montana states record as well i think they can only claim wyoming as one division win instead of 2 because they played them twice. Thats just a guess though. They should have played UVSC to make it legit for the true #1 and #2 seed in the conference. It should definitly be rule next year that every team must play eachother that way conference standings will be true and fair based on wins and losses

Rules to clear things up need to be made
The RMLC needs to have more stable rules i have saidthis in many other posts but once again an issue comes up regarding playoffs. I have a couple issues.
1.Every team should be "forced" via the matrix to play each other atleast once.
OR
2.Every team must be "forced" to play the same # of divisional games.
**Question**
I thought CSU-Pueblo Beat wyoming? so why doesn't Pueblo have a win listed for divisional? Is it because they weren't schedule to play them via the matrix?

In a perfect world, of course this would happen. However, we don't. Spring break, geographical separation of teams and climate are the big issues I can see. 2 of them, we can do nothing about and trying to get teams to play during the weekends surrounding spring break would be a chore. I guess it really just depends on the teams, I guess.
One remedy might be to have teams sacrifice one of those spring break weekends to play games. It'll take some figuring out, but there might be the possibility to get in a few extra games a season that way.

I support the RMLC having each team play each other team in their conference. Mines did not sacrifice the weekend before, after, or spring break for games (although I would have gladly given up one of those times for games) and we were able to play each team in div B as well as 3 out of 5 div A teams. And I am happy today because of it. This season was so much more fun than last year when we only played 5 div B teams and 1 div A team. We're all here to compete for the fun of it. So lets all compete and see each other every single year at least.

Another thing about the Mines year is we did play CSU, CU and Utah...along with a uncounted game against DU. This influenced alot of the stats of the Mines players....making their goals per game and such much lower then the other Div B teams that didnt play the higher level teams...I think it would be great to see the other teams play CSU and CU and such....but it kinda killed alot of our stats.

I have nothing to complain about when it come to my stats....playing those teams only helped me...I was more refurring to alot of our middies and attackmen who worked really hard but have a hard time scoring against the defenses of CSU, CU and U of U

Forget the stats...CSU, CU, and UU are just good competition and measuring sticks. Mines had a great time playing these games as I'm sure others did that played similar schools. I'm just happy we scored a goal in each contest and never gave up. Thanks to those schools for scheduling games with us.
