Division A Playoff Picture

Illinois did beat Missouri, but it was not a required crossover game, and thus does not count towards standings in any manor.

Mizzou Dad I could be wrong but I think :

Seed 1 Lindenwood
Seed 2 Illini
Seed 3 Mizzou
Seed 4 WashU
Seed 5 State
Seed 6 SMS

Is what I have with the first round match ups being

SMS v Mizzou- at WashU
State v WashU-at lindenwood

Again I could be wrong.

seedings/wash u ---mizzou

Postby mizzou dad on Sun Apr 24, 2005 11:22 am

Thanks,

It was kind of a sloppy game yesterday, with real gusty wind at times.
A mizzou player tried a cross field pass and actually hit his open goal post.
Maybe he was still a little out of it by a tremendous hit made on him in the 2nd quarter.

Wash U guy scored in an open net from about midfield. Wash U had man up opportunities throughout the game.

Understand a number of odd things happen in this rivalry

Mizzou Dad,

Do you have any more details about the game. Quarter by quarter breakdowns specifically.

With the exception of last years games, this one always seems to come down to the wire with a goal being scored in the final seconds. Was that the case here? Did Wash U have possesion at the end and not get a shot off, or did Mizzou score the go ahead goal in the final seconds, etc...

Thanks

You had all the seedings correct, however the SMS v. Mizzou game is @ Lindenwood and the Ill. State v. Wash U. game is at Wash U.

Sorry i dont

Mizzou had man down of three at least twice but Washington U was only able to score once during those times. Game was pretty much back and forth with no team down by any more than 2 goals.

Mizzou scored in the last 2 minutes. The scorer (one of the Wolff's) was
slashed on the play for a penalty. Mizzou ended the game with the ball in Wash U end. Pretty much a keep away at that point.

Playoffs

Postby Troy Hood on Mon Apr 25, 2005 1:55 pm

Gentlemen:

Note that the Friday games at both WU-StL and Lindenwood are backed up 1/2 hour due to other activities occurring there. WU-StL games will be at 4:30 and 7:30 while the LU games will be at 5:30 and 8:30.

A small change, but worth noting.
