Does NC st. have a strong face off man? I do not know because I havent seen either team play but I would have expected higher ranked VTech to win more than 50% of the draws. Blaine could be tough if they can't gain possession

Solid win for the Hokies, who have probably sealed their Minnesota chances. Should be a good one tomorrow, everyone's been waiting for the VT/FSU showdown all year.
Always on point . . .

Great game the hokies gave us, Their incredible accuracy on their shots and tireless effort proved to be too much for us in the end. With some better bounces and less pipes (we had like 4) the game would have been much closer. Looking forward to a great game between FSU and VT.

as much as i am disapointed in our loss, i hope regardless of who wins they both end up with bids to the national tourney and show the country how good the selc is.

I agree with ncsulacrosse, it's time for the SELC to show the rest of the country what we have. An amazing Fl-Ga game and a great VaTech-NCSU game show the depth of the conference and with both VT and FSU "hopefully" getting bids to the National Tourney, the RMLC and the rest of the country will see what the SELC has to offer. With programs on the rise, and incredible Division B programs, our conference is only going to get stronger. Good luck to the SELC teams that make it to Blaine!!!

Don't forget about the great game between FSU and Georgia. Georgia cut FSU's Lead to 8-7 with 6 minutes to go in the 4th quarter and the FSU scored on a great fast break goal. Being down 9-7 Georgia decided to pull their goalie to pressure the ball and FSU scored on an empty net to make it 10-7. Georgia quickly responded with another goal to cut to 10-8 and FSU did a good job of killing the clock and scored another goal on an empty net with less than 20 seconds in the game.

Furthermore, everyone missed another great game today as Georgia beat Georgia Tech 8-7 to take 3rd place in the SELC. Georgia got off to a slow start as Tech jumped to a 5-1 lead at half time. Georgia came out and scored 4 goals in the 3rd quarter to tie the game going into the 4th. Tech scored to make it 6-5 and Georgia responded with 3 unanswerd goals until Tech put one in with around a minute to go in the game. Tech won the face off and called timeout with 33 seconds left. I don't remember if tech got a shot off or not but the ball came loose for the last 15 seconds of the game and Georgia came away with the win. On a side note, Cabbell Cox (#1) for Georgia had 5 goals at midfield today and had 4 goals yesterday against FSU and had 2 on Friday against Florida.

I agree with nsulacrosse and all the others as the SELC is a tough conference with many great rivalrys and come playoff time, everyplayer gives it all they got and its anyones game in the end. This year, it happens to be FSU and VT in the final game and both teams deserve bids to nationals and I'm confident that both teams will represent the SELC very well.

I'm looking forward to today's SELC Championship game.

Congrats to UGa on a great season and impressive playoff run this year.

VT and FSU are knotted up at 2 with 5 min left in the first qtr of the SELC Championship game.

VT up 3-2 after 1 qtr.

FSU up 6-4 at half. 2005 SELC Offensive MVP Matt Robarge has a pair for VT. FSU has very balanced scoring Romanchuk, Paustain, Herzog all contributing. Lots of EMO's for both teams thus far.

8-6 FSU with 3:20 left in the 3rd

Davidson 12
App State 11 (ot)

Heard through the grapevine that the game winner was deflected in by an ASU defender.

Wow, Davidson brought it to the tourney. Didn't expect the 3 seed to come out on top.
