Hope?

Hope?

Postby defense_wins_championship on Thu Apr 21, 2005 1:48 pm

You know it's very disappointing to see Hope has forfieted so many games. This is exactly why I didn't want to vote for them to get into the league. Everything was promised to be okay once they got into the league and what has happened? There was questions about other teams getting into the league the past few years but I don't see any problems like this. I thought some guys from the westside were going to make sure they got going? Am I missing something? What happened?

They are a 31 year old program in the middle of a rebuilding phase who reportedly suffered an onset of mononucleosis.

This is their first year in the CCLA, now that they have a coach. It has been an eye-opener for them - seeing the level of competition. Mike Schanhals (sp?), the coach, will bring them around. As Andy mentioned, a bout of mono that spread through the team has caused the forfeits. They also lost early-season games because of snow on the fields. They don't have a beautiful indoor facility like some lucky Michigan teams!
