SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Lacrosse legends Paul and Gary Gait will be among the nearly 150 SU lacrosse alums back in town this Saturday, April 16, for the Orange's game against Rutgers at 4 p.m. The Syracuse athletics development office, in conjunction with the Stickmen's Fund, is hosting a lacrosse alumni event to honor four memorable teams in Orange history. They will celebrate the five-year anniversary of the 2000 NCAA Championship team, the 10-year anniversary of the 1995 NCAA Championship team and the 15-year anniversary of the 1990 NCAA Championship team. SU will also honor the 1979 team, the first group to make it to the NCAA Tournament. That team featured players John Desko, Kevin Donahue and Roy Simmons III, all members of the current coaching staff.
