Montana State vs. UVSC
Since the two teams have never faced each other, it would be fun to hear who everyone thinks would win this game and why?

After playing both of these teams, I have to take Montana state...just because they have a good mix of physical and finease (sp?) play. UVSC's long poles are really good, but I dont know if they could shut down the MSU attack...but at the same time that goes both ways. Also, MSU's goalie is just tearing it up this year...what is he at, like .72 something....and UVSC shoots alot, but if MSU's goalie keeps that save average up...it could be a really interesting game, but I still think MSU would come out ontop

I'm not talking trash to mines, but how badly would we have had to beat you for you to have thought that it would be a closer game than montana st by over 3. They are a good team and i've been saying it all year long, but i don't understand why you would ever bet against a team that just scored 30 on you.
Montana is a great team that is showing everyone they are for real this year. Anyone who was at the boise "fall brawl" (thats what i like to call it) in boise already knew that, and they are for real. they beat boise the other night which was very impressive, and i would love to hear from boise about montana's team and that game. either way, if we do end up playing eachother in the finals, it will be a tough road for either school, there is a lot of great competition in the rmlc.

montana state and utah valley state would definitely be a great game. you might get each other in the playoffs.
just wondering how far bozeman is from missoula. why wasn't there a battle for bragging rights in the treasure state?

MSU v. UVSC
I think UVSC v. MSU would be a great game, and hopefully we'll get to it in the playoffs in a week or so.
culax, we tried to get a game scheduled with Montana this spring, but it just didn't work out with the plans each team had already made. I agree that it would be great to get in a battle for Big Sky Country. It is great to have two teams from such a hotbed of lacrosse doing so well this year.

Montana State is definetely legit. In my opinion their goalie should definetly be their MVP (no offense Silvestri). Just look at our game summary and check out how many shots on goal we had compared to them. We have some pretty good shooters in Boise but the guy was like a wall. On the attack end Silvestri is obviously their leader but they have a couple of other quality guys down there as well. My advice is to do what you can to keep the ball out of Silvestri's hands. Oh yeah, chances are that Boise and Montana State will play again in the playoffs so UVSC will get a chance to get a good look at both teams before they have to play one or the other. Whatever the case, it should be another great game. MSU is a great bunch of guys and thanks for the hospitality while we were down there. See you all in a couple weeks.

The UVSC vs. MSU will be a great game. Too bad I can't be there to see it. As far as a Battle in the Big Sky, we may try to do something this fall.
We've played UM in the past and I think that would be a great game seeing how both teams have really improved as of late.

There is a good chance Boise and Montana will meet in the playoffs, can they beat Boise again? Kinda surprised with the first win. If their goalie is that good, their defense must not be. 24 saves says a lot in a game like that (10-12) , 24 saves is a lot to ask, even for a wall.
Good luck to ya all.

Very Impressive victory for Montana State against Northern 20-2. Holding Northern to only 2 points is very impressive. What happened?? Did Montana's Defense show up in a big way? Only 12 saves for the keep. Did Northern fall apart? Did Montana posses the ball? What happened? Let me know! Whatever happened, it should be a fun week in Gunnison for the RMLC playoffs!

Northern showed up with only 13 guys (and really didn't want to make the drive to Bozeman) and MSU came to play.
