Lakeland's program never florished through the late '70 and early 80's and they continued to lose to lesser programs such as Roosevelt of Yonkers, White Plains and Mamarenack. Then someone had the bright idea of combining the schools for boy's lacrosse; that was over 25 years ago and I don't know if it's been challenged since!
