BIG GAME! (Michigan at Oakland)

BIG GAME! (Michigan at Oakland)

Postby EARL THE PEARL on Tue Apr 12, 2005 6:01 pm

The Oakland University vs Univ of Michigan game is tomorrow night. Oakland upset them last year in the CCLA playoffs. Who will win?

Will it even be close?

I think Oakland has a good squad this year.

Thoughts?

Big Game

Postby teslax14 on Wed Apr 13, 2005 1:34 am

I think this game will be detemined in Michigan's first possession. If they have a good possession and end it with a goal, there is no way Oakland will be able to claw back. Michigan has proven that when they start strong, they are a hard team to beat. Also, Michigan has played a much more callenging schedule this year in comparison to Oakland's fairly week schedule. My prediction is that Michigan runs away with this one but I would love to see Oakland beat them.

It's not me...I swear. Whoever it is undoubtedly wants to be me.

By the way, whoever announces the starting lineups for the game tonight is pretty cute and knows a whole lot about everything...

the game tonight will be the biggest in the ccla this year and one of the biggest in the country, when a #8 and #5 team both in the top ten meet it is always going to be a big game. Will be interesting with two of the most potent offenses in the nation go head to head!

I've been an avid defender of Oakland and their ranking this year BUT the Wolverines have been steamrolling the CCLA and are my pick by 4.

Oakland has been riding the wave since they beat Michigan last year. This will be the best opportunity for them to show the rest of the country how good they are. I believe Michigan is for real, and a win against the Wolverines will go a long way to convincing the pollsters (and the rest of us fans) that they should move up in to the AZ/CU group.

I am really surprised at this score. I was unsure of Michigan this year but they have proven themselves tonight. I would love to see this film.

U of M 11
Oakland 1

Michigan came ready to play. JP has a good thing going over there. Oakland missed on there shots and did not score on any man-up. This was a good wake up call for the boys.

Congrats to U of M, heck of a game.

I agree. It looked like michigan was making all the hustle plays, and oakland did not come ready to play. Michigan had all the time of possesion, and they finished on thier shots. Oakland couldn't seem to find the net when they did get shots off. I think next time they play this one should be a lot closer. Michigan also was very good at looking back door. I think 7 of their first 8 goals were back door cuts.

That isn't a win, that is domination pure and simple.
