Postby dunkonu25 on Tue Apr 12, 2005 10:02 am

Can anyone please explain the RMLC Divison B playoff system to me and how it is going to work? Does who ever wins the RMLC tourney go to Blaine? How will seedings work. correct me if i"m wrong if the playoffs started today would it look a little something like this? With boise eneligible for the national tourney no reason for them to travel to greeley right?

1 Utah valley state v 8 Wyoming
2 Montana state v 7 CSU-Pueblo
3 UNC v 6 Ft lewis
4 Western 5 Mines

Boise State is definetely going to Greeley. We are eligible to win our conference title and awards, but are not eligible for national titles or awards. I don't know how it is all going to work, I just know that we'll be in Greeley. It's a sticky situation but the RMLC administrators decided that this is how it was going to be this year.

Im glad that boise is going to be able to be there. Its too bad that they don't have a chance at nationals, but it will be fun to have another good team at our conference championships. having them there will add a lot of talent to the weekend and i think we will see a lot more close games. Boise could win the turny, and that would give us a lot more to talk about in this room. good luck boise, finish the season strong!

so unless wyoming pulls off some upsets these next couple weeks you can pretty much count them out for greeley since they will be the #9 team in the conference. So would you guys say the playoffs look a little somthing like this

If the playoffs started today april 11 these would be our matchups

1 Utah valley state v 8 CSU Pueblo
2 Montana state v 7 Fort Lewis
3 Boise State v 6 Mines
4 UNC 5 Western

I think this would be the best way to do it and having the lowest seed always play the next highest seed in the next rounds. Also i think there sould be consolation games for 3rd 4th and so on so everone can get as much lax as possible.

How much lacrosse does fort have left to play, i can't imagine them going into the turny #7, behind mines and a couple of other teams (sorry mines, not talking trash). If they do, that will be an interesting 1st round with montana st and fort. and then, assuming that boise wins their 1st round, that would be a great 2nd game as well with whomever they play. this could be a fun turny!

yea your right with the fort thing i imagine they will they might be able to sweep the next 4 games of the season going in to the tourney putting them in at least a 3 4 or 5 spot. Montana state also has crutial games against UNC and boise right before tourney time. The Mines vs CSU-pueblo should also be very interesting to see who will get the 7-8 spot. Western must also win the mines game to keep a 5 or 6 spot.

Let's not overlook this weekend. Boise is playing Montana State on Friday night. It's a battle for second place that could upend the seedings for the playoffs.

Most big games have still yet to be played by similarly ranked teams. Boise and Montana are yaet to play. Mines and Western, Mines and CSU-p, Mines and Ft Lewis, and many other teams playing similarly ranked teams. Who know how it'll all end. See you all on the field coming up in the next few weeks.

No Trost....I take deep offense to that.....ya right....

Anyways, I dont think that Fort can sweep all of these upcoming games, although I think they can take CSU Pueblo and Wyoming, but I think Mines and Western will take them. I think that the real swing games for the playoff seating right now has to be Boise vs Montana State, Mines Vs. Western and Ft. Lewis Vs. Western. Not counting CSU-P out...but I just dont see them beating UVSC, Mines or Ft. Lewis....

I really want to see UVSC play Montana State though..I think that could be one of the Div B games of the year, but we will have to see how MSU does against BSU first though.

Personally, I think Fort is going to do just fine in their next few games. They have some great individual players, and if they play as a team Western, Mines, and Pueblo had better look out.

I think fort at home like i've said before, is a dangerous team. I think they will put it together, win out, and make a run at nationals. I agree that a final with us against montata st. would be a great game, but we will both need to get past teams like boise, fort, unc, who could all beat anyone on any day. UNC is playing at home and shouldn't be over looked, but i think boise is better than people give them credit for.

Oh, Boise is extremely good...they have one of the best Attack Squads I have ever stood in goal against. I think the top of the division has never been as competitive as it is this year.
