I guess us second teamers don't deserve a correct spelling

I think you are pretty accurate in your picks #41. However, I think there are a couple guys you may have overlooked. For example, UST Midfielder Joey Julius is a freshman from Edina that has been the heartbeat of our team with his hustle, ground ball recoveries, stick skills and speed. Also you didnt mention a long pole midfielder. Is there a LPM mentioned in the official all confrence list? Second, I think Kevin Piper, our Goalie at UST, is deserving of credit based on his save percentage and toughness coming in as a rookie this year. As a quick sidenote, id like to thank you on behalf of my teammate David Hildebrand #47. Dave had never picked up a lacrosse stick before this season and as his teammates we are all amazed by his perfromance thus far. He appreciates you mentioning him with greatly skilled players such as our captain and others.

I dont have time to list what my picks would be but I think Tyler Bosh from Moorhead is a nice player that I believe deserves all-conference recognition.

I thought #47 was a solid athlete and had a good head for the game. Being that he is a first year player only makes it more interesting. Fantastic job.
I think the UST and SJU goalies are both pretty deserving of some respect, but at the same time, the UWEC goalie is standing on his head every game he plays in and making some pretty solid saves without a whole lot of defensive talent by his side. He would get my vote for his ability to hang tough in every game despite some overwhelming odds from time to time.

Joey Julius was on my middie line in high school, I haven't seen him play in college but if he were to have kept getting better from when he started in high school, he would be a great player right now. From what it sounds like he is making quite a name for himself. Nice work Joey if you read this

All Conference
There are a lot of players who deserve recognition but like other people, I have not seen enough of other teams to figure out who is first team, second....other than going by stats. But if the guys from St. Thomas are freshmen and only playing for the first time, then they have 3 more years to develop and improve and hopefully gain the attention and the recognition that they deserve.

Eugene thats a good point
I think the veteran leadership this year at UST has been soley responsible for making the transition from HS to college easier for us rookies. Hildebrand says is amazed and surprised that he got mentioned with such a talented group of guys.

anklebreacker: you are posting this in the wrong thread.
I PM'ed you my thoughts on predicting your own games.
Back to the topic,
I don't think points are a very good indicator at all about who should be first / second / any team all conference, while they do play some part, it is the overall play of a player. While it is understandable that you cannot watch every player play every game, so you HAVE to rely on points to a certain extent. So obviously there is going to be a decent correlation between points scored and what team you make.
Some of my picks for all conference (in no order, division A):
ATK:
nelson
pausik (people skills)
zevelev
borchardt
alcorn
MID:
young
klossner
goertz
o'donnell
lauria
kuhnmuench
LSM:
baltes
and I haven't seen enough others to comment
DEF:
daehn
ziebol
onken
kestler
GOALIE:
launert
schoenecker
I haven't seen any other goalies nearly as good as these two. Including OOC. (this year)
it for now although I haven't seen some of the A teams, so I am missing Moorhead, Marquette, and some of UWSP
