Good stuff. BC was down two goals at half. We'll see what Pitt has for tomorrow's Bridgewater game.
We actually ended up being down 4 goals to start the 4th, 7-3 but we raddle off a 5-0 run in the 4th quarter led by McConaty and some great saves by Hoffman.

Pitt was also up by four going into the fourth quarter I believe. Sorry to those waiting for the text updates... cell phone battery died.

Unfortunately, Pittsburgh still has yet to beat a ranked opponent at any point this season. They also have yet to beat a team that was once ranked and has since fallen off the Top 25.
You apply this logic to Pitt, but have said the opposite for UNH, calling them overrated. UNH lost to an unranked Cal in a fluke one goal game, but has beaten BC and the formerly ranked Texas programs. You can't have it both ways. If you make that claim for Pitt, UNH would have to sit even higher in your poll.

I'm convinced that rankings are a mere formality and useful in determining the USLIA Championship Bracket- thats it!
ONLY an opinion based on what we saw in last years tourney:
UNH is probably better than a few of the ranked teams #15-25 (no specifics). They are fast, great with the long poles and intense. It's unfortunate that the league can't have a more weather-friendly season, because a few PCLL teams could really emerge as solid national programs, despite the "perception" of the league's strength.
Pitt (again an opinion) is ranked right about where they should be. They came out flying and were very fast. Their offense emphasized a lot of circular motion and focused on 1 or 2 quick shooters. Like Dan said however, they haven't beaten a ranked team. They do however deserve a ranking.
As onpoint mentioned, I don't think 2 PCLL teams are getting in this year, don't cut out next year though, especially given the national success/attention that has been developing this season. It's exciting to have a few league games this year that really matter headed into the PCLL Championships. Can't wait to see NU.
BC has a tough week with games at URI, BWS and Stonehill, plus the 2 from the weekend (5 games in 7 days). Good test for the team. Some convincing wins should help to maintain a good ranking, despite the loss to UNH.

Actually, my opinion of UNH has changed since they beat BC. They now have a victory over a current high ranked team. If they remain undefeated within the next poll period they should jump 4-9 spots if not higher based on the teams in front of them. They should be right up there with Chico who also lost to an unranked but NEVER beat a top ten like UNH has.
My argument previously was that UNH's victorys were over unranked or teams who have since become unranked during that poll the conversation started BUT my doubts have been erased with a solid victory on friday and wish them all the best when the PCLL playoffs start.
The argument for Pittsburgh is that their two losses were to top 10 teams and each game by one, so using logic that people were using against me they deserve a ranking stating that they can play against top ten teams but can't quite beat them ala 15-20 range. They would play stiffer competition but do to the realignment of the CCLA, they got stuck in the weaker split and won't see Miami (if they make it after a 16-0 loss to MIch.), Mich and MIch. ST. untill the CCLA playoffs.
