Games for 4/6 - 4/9 Predict, discuss, report scores here

Postby Bronco1 on Wed Apr 06, 2005 6:15 pm

Wednesday 4/6
Utah vs. Utah Valley State

Friday 4/8
Western vs. Utah
BYU vs. Cal

Saturday 4/9
D Western vs. Boise
BYU vs. Sonoma
Colorado vs. Colorado College
Denver University vs. N. Colorado
D Fort Lewis vs. Wyoming
D Montana State vs. Colorado College of Mines
D Utah State vs. CSU

I know I'm not Alex, but I figure I'd help the guy out since he's the only one that has been putting these up.

Anybody got a line on the Utah vs. UVSC game yet?

Utah 17
UVSC 7

This score doesn't give credit to how good UVSC is. They came out FIRED up for this game, and played with a ton of intensity. The game was neck and neck throughout until the 4th quarter. It looked like UVSC just got tired of hustling back in transition, something they did VERY well in the first three quarters. They stopped Utah's deadly fastbreaks by not giving them the oppurtunities, and they created their own by breaking out quick and taking care of the ball. There were not many errant passes in this game, both teams held possesion fairly well. Utah's D had some serious lapses in the first half that resulted in UVSC goals, chasing sticks and not picking up their man. It was a little frustrating coming from a spectator's point of view. However, the second half was a different story. The Utes allowed only 2 goals to their 12, and the offense got back into their rythym, scoring 9 goals in the fourth quarter to seal the deal.

Bronco1,
Just an FYI it's the Colorado School of Mines. No big deal, but I thought you may like to know.

FYI: BYU is playing Cal in Berkeley tomorrow, not UCLA.

AflacLax, just trying to abbreviate the schools. Sorry bout that though...didn't mean any discrespect to the Mines.

TrainerDan, I saw CAL, but wrote UCLA for some reason or another. It's fixed though now.

CSU 17 - USU 1. Very fortunate that the in coming storm held just long enough, it was a chilly but dry night in Fort Collins.
