In the 2nd quarter at the Pit, Bluevelvet reporting:

UCSB - 7

Arizona - 1

Will Patton with his 2nd goal of the game. Arizona is not getting many quality possessions. Once they get the ball in their zone, the SB defense is taking it away from them.

It appears that SB has gotten their wake up call.

At halftime at Rohnert Park, DG reporting:

BYU - 3

SSU - 4

BYU hit 2 pipes in the last 5 minutes of the 1st half. Not much commentary as DG has not seen much of the game yet. Seem pretty evenly matched from what he saw.

At the half at the Pit, Bluevelvet reporting:

UCSB - 7

Arizona - 2

Not totally sure, but the goal may have been scored by #7 Adam Fizyta.

Arizona started playing better in the latter stages of the 2nd quarter.

In the 3rd quarter at Rohnert Park, DG reporting,

BYU - 3

SSU - 6

Sonoma's goals from Brian Johnson on a dodge from the top of the box and the 2nd one from a long stick, Jeff Virden, who took the ball away from behind the cage and went coast-to-coast for the goal.

It's hard to say that UCSB is only the 4th best team in the country, but at the same time, it's impossible to rank them any higher. Just a random thought I had there.

CSU, SSU, BYU, & UCSB will be 1-4 in the last poll, but in what order is anyone's guess, since these teams will probably have to face off in each conference playoff.

Sorry about that, work is getting in the way.

End the 3rd quarter at Rohnert Park, DG reporting,

BYU - 5

SSU - 6

BYU goals by Bateman on an EMO and Stevenson from Davis. Mackechnie apparently had 2 good stops in the 3rd.

In the 4th quarter at the Pit, Bluevelvet reporting:

UCSB - 8

Arizona - 5

In an unsettled situation, AZ scored by kicking the ball in the net. In the 3rd quarter Arizona controlled possession for most of the quarter keeping the ball away from SB. SB's play has been sloppy in the 2nd half.

Sonoma's penchant for close games continues. One can only think playing against CSU and NDNU tough will be good for them towards the end of this game.
