I totally agree with ktrost, the PNCLL is dangerous because they have 4 teams that can take the PNCLL-B championship. It's too bad only one of you will go to Blaine. You guys have some great lacrosse up there that deserves more respect than #11 and higher.

The problem is you can't get worked over by a team 17-4, and expect to be a top ten team. Kevin, before our game, I told my guys "it's their third game in 3 days, run them into the ground!" When you guys did it to us, it was incredible. It showed all the heart you guys have, and it shows what you can do in a tough tournament in Blaine. I appreciate the kind words from all, but we have to prove it ourselves, we can't prove it through what PLU did. We've had 2 what I believe were let downs this year, but one more, and that's who our team is... That's my fear. Kevin it really was great meeting you in Boise. I even like the way you could laugh on the field when I asked for the long penalty. Good luck to you guys.

Which four are you referring to? I count six: Linfield, Montana, PLU, UPS, WWU and Whitman. Ignoring any one of these teams could be dangerous, although Western Washington has to get hot and win its two remaining games to even make the playoffs, while the other five look to be likely to qualify for the post-season...

Dan, great point! Those four were theonly 4 I have seen play this year. Good luck PNCLL in league play. Great bunch of guys up there, with very respectful coaches!

I am not trying to be "that guy" who is always screaming how his team got short changed in the polls, just saying a few things that is my opinion. I know polls are peoples opinons, so I can't get all worked up and emotional about it, thats simple. In the end it will be settled on the field. But for entertainment and reading enjoyment here are my thoughts. And yes i am a "homer" ( which means i think my teams are really good, ie- the Vikings will win the Super Bowl, Twins will win the World Series, Gophers will win every NCAA title, SJU is the best at every D3 sport, and SJU is the best team in Div B)
1. Teams in the UMLL, CCLA suffer from the thing called winter because of the fact it is cold and we cannot play lots of games until late march so we drop in the polls because of the fact we cannot have games.
2. UMLL, CCLA does not have many teams in their confrence in the top 25 so their schedules seem weaker. And when we played our OOC in TX 2 of the 3 teams were ranked so hopefully no one trys to bust out the argument that we dont play ranked teams, blah blah blah. We have always had an open invitation for anyone to come up to Collegeville and play. In my opinon Central Minnesota is a great place to spend spring break, i know if i lived in San Diego, Utah or anywhere else i would want to get out of the warm sun and feel the cold brisk wind. Who likes to get all tan and sweaty on their spring break? And if you want beaches on your SB we have 3 nice lakes on campus and one with a really nice sand beach. (depends on when you come, but maybe you'll be lucky and the ice will be off)
3. This was my main point- SJU beat UW-Stephens Point 8-6, UWSP played Central Mich and won 18-14. Calvin lost to Central Mich 14-5.

The transitive property...does not translate to lacrosse, plain and simple. SJU is agreed by all to be a good team, they are ranked top 10. Debating which conferences are better, and where their teams should be ranked in the poll, will only be possible after the tournament in Minnesota. All you can do is win the games you play: "kill everyone...let the paramedics sort'em out."- The Program

Hey I know this might be coming in late but I just saw this post and wanted to chime in. Pinball St. Johns beat Wis-Stevens Point 8-6, good. Then we beat Calvin 14-5. We lost to Stevens Point 18-14....So St. Johns should beat Calvin right? How do you come up with that? Have you even seen Calvin play this year? Or us play this year? Or any CCLA teams this year? Stevens Point beat us. We also played on a feild that wasn't lined, it rained the whole game and we were up to our ankles in mud. No one could cut and we didn't play a good game. Also we had our back-up goalie in net because our starting goalie had another commitment unfortunately. Our goalie ended up letting in 18 goals on 24 shots. Even if the field was decent it would have been a much different story. Wisconsin Stevens Point was not at all an example of how we play and was easily our worst game of the year. If you think you guys might be able to take us or Calvin I would say come on over. Don't try an compare scores, theres only one pole that matters and thats the end of the season one.

From the looks of it, a laundry list of EXCUSES is what I am seeing; I am with St. Johns on this one.
