First Division I Men's Lacrosse Games to Pit Defending National Champ Syracuse vs. Georgetown and North Carolina vs. Notre Dame.

Tickets for the March 12 Event on Sale Now.

CARSON, CA (February 1, 2005) - The inaugural First 4 - a showcase featuring four of the top men's Division I college lacrosse programs - will take place at the Soccer Stadium at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California, on March 12. The First 4, presented by Pantheon International and AEG, is the first lacrosse event at The Home Depot Center and the first Division I men's lacrosse games ever in the state of California.

Syracuse, winners of nine overall NCAA Lacrosse Championships, last year captured its third Championship in five years. The Orangemen feature one of college's legendary lacrosse programs, highlighted by the great Jim Brown, who is the only person to be inducted into the halls of fame for pro football, college football and lacrosse.

Syracuse in 2005 travels west to take on Georgetown at 7:30 p.m. The University of North Carolina, who received an at-large bid into the 2004 NCAA Tournament, will face-off against Notre Dame at 5 p.m.

Prior to the First 4's dual main event, there are several preliminary competitions featuring several top-ranked local high schools and select college clubs as well, including UC Santa Barbara and Colorado State University on The Home Depot Center track at 3 p.m. Admission to UCSB-SCU contest is free.

The high school schedule is as follows: Coronado/St. Ignatius (2 p.m. on the turf); Torrey Pines/Monte Vista Danville (1 p.m. on the track); La Costa Canyon/Berkeley (Noon on the turf); and Malibu/Foothill (11 a.m. on the track). Admission to these high school contests are free as well.

Both the North Carolina-Notre Dame and Syracuse-Georgetown contests will be televised live by CSTV: College Sports Television (www.CSTV.com) as part of its popular "NCAA Lacrosse on CSTV" college lacrosse series.

Tickets are currently on sale for the historic doubleheader -- which features defending national champion Syracuse vs. Georgetown, and North Carolina vs. Notre Dame. To purchase tickets, which begin as low as $30 ($15 for children 10 years and younger), call Ticketmaster at 213-480-3232, visit any Ticketmaster outlet or go to www.ticketmaster.com. For a group sales discount on 10 or more tickets, call AEG group tickets at 866-LA-GROUP or go to www.aeggrouptickets.com.

SCU wouldn't mind having a shot at UCSB. Ryan Brittain would be in big trouble if I got out on that field. I could see it now.
