I know that Weber State will be in the RMLC again next year. and I guess a couple other teams might be joining as well. what is your thought of the new teams comming into the league, and how do you think it will effect the RMLC?

More teams means more rivalries, more uncertainty, and more games. I hope that every possible new team mentioned eventually joins the league. I'd really love to see a new team in the Denver area too for a close to home rivalry.

If New Mexico could get their stuff together I am sure that they would be joining next year. It would be nice to see a team from my home state start spreading the sport of lacrosse down south.

If Metro State in denver decided to get a team i guarantee they would be a dominate force right away. I bet there is so much talent at that school but since it is a commuter school most kids athletic dreams were done in high school and thats the reason that they are at metro, so they can work and stay close to home. I bet there are more than 50 former high school lax players from the FrontRange alone that go there that are just waisting their talent. What about Mesa State as well has anyone ever heard and intrest from them at all?

Weber State?

Postby MountaineerLax on Fri Apr 08, 2005 6:33 pm

Weber State back in? With their track record? Maybe so, but how many worthwhile games are they gonna get with their history of owing money all over town, cancelling the entire season, and still canceling games since (Wyoming v. Weber this year alone - though that might not have been their fault).

I used to love the guys at Weber, they were always great guys before and after the games... organization though has always been lacking.

we Never had a scrimage set with Wyoming, and yes I know all about what happened with the old team, the president and captain was a total idiot and screwed up the team. we have a new coach, and new officers in charge of the team, so the problems I hope are a thing of the past.

I sure hope so. Weber State could have a good program. I wish you luck and I am hoping for the best. But then again... i've been down that road before.

Teams all over have done dumb things and screwed up.

Wyoming had a team in the 80's I found newspaper clippings of them playing USU, Why did they quit? I don't know and I don't care, just glad they are back and growing.

My point is, Tyler and the good boyz at Weber State are working there ...Tails.. off to rebuild the Weber State program. Will it be hard? YES.. are there obstacles to overcome? Yes. Fine good and dandy lets just help them out.

I don't think Weber wants to "waltz" into RLMC and declare their future domination of the league. I think they just want to play lacrosse like everyone else, and I am sure they want to follow the rules and do it right.
Besides Bigheadtodd needs his old school back to try and reclaim all the loses to USU.

Minesgoalie: you lost to girl, wrestling?

Tyler is the man.

Well we have players, and coaches, and we were going to try this year but we didnt feel that we could get all the money in order for this season so we decided to go forth for next year. and really if you need proof that we will play, we can play Wyoming if it would make our critics happy, even thougth we have supporters like Mase, and Jonathan. and we will not come waltzing in we know were a first year team, and we embrace that fact that most will probably have there way with us, but atleast were playing the game.

Now how about the other teams that are thinking of comming in? I would love if Mesa State had a team I have tons of family around there.
