Today at the Georgetown v. Navy game, a referee collapsed & died from an apparent heart attack. Here is a link that has more on this story:

Obviously, the thoughts & prayers of the entire lacrosse cmmunity go out to this man's family & friends in this difficult time.
This incident again goes to highlight the importance of defibrillators at sporting events.

I was in attendance at the game. Wasn't looking when it happened (forgive me I was gettin a beer). Thought at first he was hit by a ball. God Bless him and his family and friends at this time!
Just wanted to send a THANK YOU to the refs who are not wearing equipment, are always in the mix, and sometimes get hurt. Thanks for the bravery of stepping on a field, unprotected, with a bunch of hackers and slashers wearing armor throwing a solid rubber ball over 70mph!
